Thermal Valves

Caltherm's engineers apply the mechanical properties of a thermal actuator to design a specific thermal valve that integrates with customer's products. In many applications, the valve is attached directly to the thermal actuator. This design minimizes the number of individual parts in the assembly process, thereby providing the precise tolerance needed to meet the customer's application specification.

To ensure proper valve operation at specified temperatures, thermal valves are designed to operate in each application environment and deliver the precise characteristics. Similar to all solutions, Caltherm's engineers develop a product to meet specific application requirements based on the customer's input. By following Caltherm's rigid APQP design process, the thermal valve is subjected to a variety of validation tests, which frequently includes customer tests to ensure reliability and longevity.
