Pressure Regulating Valves

When the magnitude and/or variation of fluid pressure needs to be controlled, Caltherm recommends its custom designed pressure regulating valve. These valves moderate flow on a continuous basis.

The typical use of a pressure regulating valve is to control the fluid in a delivery system by regulating the fluid pressure delivered from the pump to a controlled level. Additionally, it reduces the variation of the fluid pressure traveling to the engine as the actual flow through the valve returns to the pump.

As with all Caltherm solutions, pressure regulating valves are rigorously tested to ensure maximum cycle life as well as specified leak characteristic, and each style of valve is tailored to any size opening or pressure specification.
